As you see, the harmonie is cause of :

1) not a lot of colors, using the same tones inside all the colors.
2) Contrast between the heart of the color with hot tones ( scab red etc.) , with first light and shadow plus blue, and final light and shadow always with black and white cause I don’t want a bright mini, but dark harmony.
3) I reapeated the blue tones + black in all the parts of the mini.

My german is absolutly inexistant ( except tomaten salad, Berlin, Tokyo Hotel, Modern Talking; Nina Haagen... hum, heu.... curri wurst, bretzel, hum.... and thats all ;)
And I thought the only three words German you knew are "Verdünnen, verdünnen, verdünnen"

I think it is fair to say that many painters are impressed with the new line of minis that you and your partners have produced. I am looking forward to buying some of my favorites at Spiel in Essen.

Your Merchant is just stunning. But I am sure you were already aware of that :D

Uhu a german version of an article from yours, there are some d's missing but no problem ;D

I don't think that I can say something else to your works than sCARIFCe but no wait: amazing! What else: I like it that you make so many pictures of your figures!

Next week I'm gonna go to buy ALL Jade Triad Packs 8) ....uhm ok there are only 2... :D

In time we'll teach you more German words than "verdünnen" :D

Last thing: Where is the Yann Tiersen hidden in your Harlequin? (I'm a big fan of him, but I really can't find anything of him one the Eldar)

Hi Jeremie.

Welcome to the forum!!

You should know "Verdünnen". Ist the key-word to german painters influenced by your work. Translated it's "Diluting" :D

The merchant is really outstanding. Nice to see some pics from the sculpting as well. The only little thing is the colour of the face, which i would like better with a little rose touch.

I'm very much looking forward seeing more of your work here. It would be great, if your articles were translated into german.

Regards!

jeremiebt
27.06.2008, 21:35
i agree with you for the color of the face. but all the color of the mini is:

base
highlight white
shadow: black

So the skin tone is a base with english uniforme from Valejo.

And i would a non real human tone for this character. to show how malefic he's ;)

Ok that was tricky, because it's more a picture of amelie than of yann tiersen himself ;D The music is nice anyway, I can play la valse de amelie and Comptine d'un autre été on the keyboard :D

Uhm one question: you used NMM and true metallic on the eldar, because of an contrast or is there some other reason?

jeremiebt
28.06.2008, 09:54
The eldar is al in TMP.
The blades are not in metallic ;) but in spectral stuuf from eldars ;)

Chinese bust
Realisation : Juillet 2008
Manufacturer: Pilipili

Here is the bust I entered in the Nation’s trophey during World Expo 2008.
Its a pleasure to paint it cause of severals parts, as the face (except the sculpt of the nose), the flowers cause its original to paint them, and of course large flat surfaces with clothes to make freehands.
Enjoy !

hi jeremie,

absolut stunning, i like the whole model very much! i love the freehands on the whole textiles. the compostion of colours is really smooth and makes for a nice contrasting combination. the light on the folds of the arms, with the floral freehand is superb. same goes for the skintone and atmosphere of the entire face. Mimic/gesture are absolutely clear and realistic! the eyes are quite spectacular! The flowers are nearly alive :)
The overall paintjob is definitely damm near perfect! ultra-smooth transitions, perfect lightspots, and the list goes on...
There are just some minor details i don't like that much - but thats mostly my preferring - the amulet/necklace is a bit 'ordinary', maybe could have done for some more detail there. also the area above the upper lip seems to be a bit rough, could also be the pic, i am not sure.
just my 2 cent's

The Faust drives me absolutely mad with admiration and insanity :) one of the most inspiring models recently...

cheers

The piper :
His metal heart ticks like a clock.
His face is smeared with white smoke
His Mechanics hidden by clothes made of a hundred parts welded together,
Our musician searches through the puzzle of his destiny.
Equally colored in many hues, he skips lightly, a flute to his mouth.
The music of this mime seems to talk to machines.
With pirouettes and acrobatics, he leaves the infested city
And by this stratagem, he leads monsters to scrap.
The figure is inspired by the myth of the Pied Piper of Hamelin, a German tale about a town suffering from a rat infestation and which hired a musician to try to find a solution to their problem. The man played a musical pipe to lure rats with a melody into the River Weser, where all of them drowned. My harlequin revisits the tale and with his music, he lures war machines into the scrapyard. It is symbolic.

I think Ben recently told us, that Jeremie tried to add the tanks already for the Games Day in France, but the mighty time distortion field impeded that .

It seems that he added them later, didn't he?

I`m always impressed by your work and there is absolutly no way to give you critical feedback because it is so GOOD my dear god in heaven you are an idol for the most painter and so I just can say: I love it all and your work is a great source of inspiration and by the way your painting DVD helped me a lot to improve so if you will see warm and cold contrasts at my transitions in the future you should know it is your guilt, lol.

Hi Jeremy, I`m still not finished to look up all at your homepage, because it is all to much stuff, lol. But I really enjoyed the funny videos :-) I especially like "the Stupid Speed Painting with the Naheulband" (great Party and pretty cool song) and the one where you and your friends praised the god of consumption, lol. At least I guess that you did because I didn`t understand a word but I could interpret the pictures right I guess. I`m looking forward to your next weird ideas, because it`s great fun to watch all that creativity and madness that rules your life :-)

Wow coooool. You never stop amazing me, really. Have I understood you right? If I want some of those sculpts I have to order them with email??? Oh well there are lot I want, lol. I`m interested in the female sculpt on the first picture (the lady with the sword), Athena, Women anatomy, Demon huntress and also the Barbarian really looks pretty cool. Please keep me updated if you know the prices.

That is all great stuff. Iself just started to sculpt recently and I enjoyed the great anatomy pictures at your site, thanks for that :D It is just a couple of days ago when I thought: It would be really, really great if someone would sculpt perfect naked bodies just as a reference for people who start to sculpt. And now you did, lol. Fantastic. I have a request: We could need a naked man too, lol.

http://voyage.jeremiebt.com/inscription-a-la-newsletter/

never did a bike bike trip, so i can´t jugde the time needed but
better make it 3 years or something if you can afford.

one thing i learned on my trips is not to rush anything. if you find a place you like, stay for a while. don´t think that you have to leave because of some schedule.

Hello
You have won an invitation from jeremie_lastminute.com!
You, yes you!
No, you’re not dreaming! You were selected in our prize draw and you have won an all-expenses paid visit to the brand new FIGONE site.

Two years ago I told my parents “I’m off to tour Africa, I’ll see you later.” So, after a long period of withdrawal from figurinism I’m back in my new tent, this time with brick walls, a roof and an internet connection. Perfect conditions for plunging back into the world of miniatures, starting by getting back in the saddle with … FIGONE.

OK, its not “real” new miniatures, but I didn’t show them before. News will arrive in September.

PS: Don’t forget add your email on the newsletter, subscribe on facebook, Twitter and RSS.

I took the liberty to fix all the broken links in your post. The Format looked fine, but something was weird with the [ img][/img] tags... Like invisible characters in front of them...

Anywho... its fixed!

Hello to you, proud adventurer of the brush!

Quit hiding behind your keyboard and your paints, we saw you!...
Let me guess...

Your brush pulls a long face? Your paint dried during summer?

It is time to take good resolutions, and to start stocking resin before winter.

And the good news is : this week we release no less than 7 new miniatures on FIGONE : 2 from Miniature Factory, 4 from Agora Miniatures, and a bust by Benoit Cauchies !

http://www.figone.fr/en/

Attentionate observers will have noted that all shipping fees have been reduced almost by half, worldwide !

I still must apologize for not being able to mail your packages more often than every 10 days.
I have no car, I don't live any more in the center of Lyon, but several miles away from the closest post office : I have to optimize the shippings and fill my bike's trailer before I go...
But then that leaves me with more time to sculpt and paint miniatures. And who would complain about that ?????

Furthermore, I'll have to be away this week to the countryside, to finish all the drawings and book about the diary of our cyclo-African trip.

The next shipping will thus be made on September 17th.

About "figostages" and shows where you shall see my sweet little face, the information is on my personal website http://www.jeremiebt.com/index.php?page=siteuk

It will be updated in the course of September with the latest painted miniatures I made
I'll have to leave you now, I have much work to do !

PS: think about subscribing to the newsletter, the RSS feed, and Facebook, and Twitter …

Yo Jeremie!

You are one of the most creative people I know. Especially when it comes to pasting BBCode :D

I counted 4 different BBCode combinations for URL and IMG in your post. None of them worked :D
The most creative one was this: [ /img[ /URL]] ^^ Nooooo, that does not work!

And I am sure you that if you want to link the pics to your site that you do not want to link back to the picture itself...
Without URL its very easy to see the pics: just ommit the space inside the brackets:

[ IMG]http://www.figone.fr/wp-content/gallery/academiquefemme54/dsc02602.jpg[ /IMG]

You could then link the text under the picture back to your site:

http://www.figone.fr/wp-content/gallery/academiquefemme54/dsc02602.jpg
Nude ladies (http://www.figone.fr/en/academique-32-mm-femme)

Here the BBCode (again, without the spaces in the brackets):

[ IMG]http://www.figone.fr/wp-content/gallery/academiquefemme54/dsc02602.jpg[ /IMG]
[ URL="http://www.figone.fr/en/academique-32-mm-femme"]Nude ladies[ /URL]

héhé
Thanks for your nice message, its was a very nice journey ;)

Before I tell you about the new FIGONE releases, here are the news :

- The timetable for Figostages is full until this summer. I have no more free slots so if you want to arrange one for the second half of the year, please contact me before it is too late ;) Those dates which are already scheduled can be found on the home page of my site at www.jeremiebt.com.

- 23 & 24 February, The Lyon expo/competition Lugdunum takes place. We’ve got into the habit of organizing a big LUGDU-FEST house party where everyone is invited. So if you want to come and celebrate, bring as much food and drink as you need for the evening. Remember to bring your best feather duvet and your floor mat with the fewest holes if you want to sleep over. If you want to come on Friday, let me know in advance (no need for Saturday, I will give directions on how to get there at the show).

- Regarding shipping of FIGONE orders. A premature rupture of stock and a misplaced package mean that orders placed in December / January for Origen figures will be sent on January 28.

- The second installment of the DVD that covers freehand and wet blending is being finalized. Subtitles in 5 languages are nearing completion, the videos are edited and spliced, and the graphics are underway ...We hope to release it at the Lugdunum show at end of February.

- Do you know the webzine FanFig?
http://www.atorgael.com/fanfig/
The next opus is in production, so if you want to embellish the "readers’ gallery" with your own work, contact me privately.

- Finally, FIGONE still growing along with its catalog.
I’ve sculpted and painted the little "Lefago Warrior" for the range while the addition of the Spanish Scale 75 catalogue enriches the site with 14 beautiful, new references.

http://www.figone.fr/wp-content/gallery/lefago/dscn6040.jpg

-Very soon, the full ALKEMY catalog will be available in individual resin miniatures, and goodies such as lights, brushes and sculpting tools will make their way into the catalog.

- Since I’m far away from home on my winter getaways, the next shipment will be January 28, February 7, February 22 and March 4.

- I still hope to update my website with my paintings from the last 6 months soon. Be patient ...

According to the French tradition, we still have a few days left for well wishing, so voila, I wish each and everyone of you individually and collectively, my best wishes and especially warm hands to warm up your cold buttocks this winter.

Hello, miniatures addicts,
We're working at quite a blistering pace at Figone!
I just finished to upload a new teaser about the brand new DVD coming out soon. This should get you to crave for watching it ;)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qo4pWAx7kf4
Since I need to give an advance for the production this week, for then having shipping in February, note that pre-orders have already started. This really helps us not having to go into some crazy Indigogo or Quickstarter extensions.
www.figone.fr (http://www.figone.fr/)
I finally updated my personal website with two versions of a Minotaur, on which I use the wet-blending technique I'm describing in the DVD.
http://www.coolminiornot.com/pics/pics16/img511283033d9ee.jpg
http://www.coolminiornot.com/pics/pics16/img511281d5eb686.jpg
The catalog of Figone's accessories gets bigger with the addition of light bulbs, brushes, sculpting stick tools, various glues, silicon shapers/ brushers and gluing speed-ups.

Since the production of the DVD is quite expensive, I added a list of miniatures I'm selling, including the two minotaurs I'm talking about above.
www.jeremiebt.com (http://www.jeremiebt.com/)
More news are coming some time in Februray.
All right, need to go, I have a horsie and a lad with bells waiting for me on my desk. This will all be revealed in April ;)
Miniaturely yours,
Jeremie

Hi Toolinger, i hope you enjoyed it ;)

Figone have a new miniature in his range !
The company gets bigger, with a “strider” sculpted by Ivan Santario De La Uz. A beautiful 54mm model that comes to enlarge the rank of the community ;)

http://www.figone.fr/wp-content/gallery/rodeur_peinture/rodeur_07.jpg

http://www.figone.fr/wp-content/gallery/rodeur_peinture/rodeur_08.jpg

Other view of the unpainted model here:
http://www.figone.fr/rodeur/

For the large scale lover, the scale 75 line acquires an “operator 79”, and we take the opportunity to enter 4 historical references to our line: a “crusader”, “Leonidas”, a “Great Master”, as well as an “Executioner”.

A set of paints for NMM and a very useful bag of artificial snow (I was looking for a good one for such a long time) also take their place in the growing catalogue, always and forever.

Vincent, which I thank so much for his help, developed a system of “reader gallery”. You will find here the first published picture: http://www.figone.fr/peintres/ (http://www.figone.fr/peintres/)

If you wish that your interpretation of one of the models of our lines shows in this gallery: send us the pictures!

Who paint’that?

At the bottom of the page (http://www.figone.fr/peintres/) there are pictures of models that got pictured at the corner of meeting or exchanged during a seminar. Or maybe they just appeared by magic in one of our servers? At any rate the name of the painters are sadly lost. If you recognize your work or one of your friends, do not hesitate to let us know. Thank you in advance!
The Aurillac training is full, but there is still some spots for Nice in June and Berlin in July.

The next expedition will take place the week after March 23rd. Then, a month break, because I will be abroad for a series of figostage.

Last news, the webzine Fanfig is ready, and will have the luxury to have a figoletter of its own when it will launch online.

Finally, if I show nothing personal (or not that much) it is because I spent a month on a new big boy, and I will need at least that much longer before being done ;)

Figurinely yours,

Hi Toolinger, i hope you enjoyed it ;)

Yes, very much. Thanks!

I actually did write a little review about the DVD in German over here:

http://www.brushbrothers.de/board21-reviews/1971-dvd-volume-ii-%E2%80%93-paint-with-j%C3%A9r%C3%A9mie-bonamant-teboul-%E2%80%93-wet-blending-and-freehand/

To make it short: I highly recommend this DVD. It's a great addition to your excellent first DVD. The only minor criticism is the video quality. But I think everyone will understand and see what you are doing and showing us although it hasn't got a very high resolution.

And one other thing:
I recognized one of the painted miniatures. Here you can find it on CMON:

Hi there, miniaturenauts!
A quick and fast bit of news to let you know of two new entries in the Figone catalog.

Origen Miniature has just added a new pearl by Pedro Fernandez Ramos: an extremely elegant and subtle scuplt of a vampire, Dacso, as only he has the secret of sculpting.

http://www.figone.fr/wp-content/gallery/origen_vampire_sculpture/dscf8398.jpg

http://www.figone.fr/wp-content/gallery/origen_vampire_sculpture/dscf8400.jpg

Scale 75, after the success of their NMM - silver set, enlarges their line with a set for NMM - gold.

You can find both of these new releases on the http://www.figone.fr/en/ website, while waiting for the next batch of releases which are in the pipeline.

New pictures have been added in the reader gallery : http://www.figone.fr/peintres/

Yes, its not a HQ quality, cause 90 % of people look on computer.
I prefer on dvd less expensive, than 2 at 40 euros for a better quality ;)

Hello everybody,
I spent around 200 hours on this mini, i am happy you like it ;)

First of all, we would like to apologise for the difficulties with our last newsletter but it was out of our hands. We think that we have solved the problem (thanks to David) and we’ll find out soon enough with this mailing ;)

This month there are no less than 25 new additions to the FIGONE catalogue.

While there is space in the stock room (garage) and as long as people keep sculpting such magnificent figures I will keep adding these beauties to the shop.

We start with the FIGONE range, with Christian Hardy’s sublime oriental princess called Lharm Shéod.

http://www.figone.fr/wp-content/gallery/sheod_peinture/sheod_peinture1.jpg

http://www.figone.fr/wp-content/gallery/sheod_sculpture/sheod_sculpture4.jpg

Three other satiric miniatures join the catalogue.

http://www.figone.fr/wp-content/uploads/et_temp/crs_peinture1-405608_298x400.jpg

http://www.figone.fr/wp-content/uploads/et_temp/pere_vert_peinture1-455050_298x400.jpg

http://www.figone.fr/wp-content/uploads/et_temp/peril-vert_peinture2-455943_298x400.jpg

From now until the end of summer, we will be unveiling three more figures which have formed between his talented fingers. In the meantime, Allan Carrasco has had a go at a hippopotamus while Raul Latorre has been playing around with a potbellied knight.

You’ll just have to wait and see...

Mantis Miniatures is now part of our catalogue with 14 animal kits! At first I was getting them just for myself then I thought that others would like them too so I’ve stocked up from this Polish producer.

Christian Hardy (yes, him again) has completed two pieces for Wonderlands Project. I’ve taken the opportunity to take on part of their catalogue so there are 5 new figures available from FIGONE.

The FanFig webzine (www.atorgael.com/fanfig) is looking for contributors! So, if you feel you have the soul of figurine artist supplemented with a little writer’s flair, get in touch.
The next shipping dates will be 2 and 14 of may.

(Current shipping dates can always be found on the FIGONE website)

Soon we will be announcing another new arrival... Black Forest Miniature, currently being moulded with care.

So, you think you know how to paint? If you do, come and share - http://www.figone.fr/peintres/

Finally, the FIGONE website is seeking someone with Wordpress experience to help out in exchange for fresh resin...

All this news and more is at www.figone.fr

Figurinistically yours,
JerM’s

Hello mininauts !

First, thanks dello for the DVD review ;)

The two new FIGONE releases are now revealed!

It's, firstly, Nathaliel, elfin dragon prince.

This model, exquisitely sculpted by Christian Hardy, has multiple options: a large banner, a helmet, a shield, a sword... which you can combine in any way you want!

A number of assembled examples are on the site.

http://www.jeremiebt.com/TEMPjeremie/fichenathaliels.jpg

After Aahl, it's Haan who joins the ranks of the “humanimals” sculpted by Allan Carrasco.
Using the first two, will you be able to guess the name of the next two?

http://www.jeremiebt.com/TEMPjeremie/fichehaan2.jpg

And then, we're proud to have a small exclusive: the FIRST model made by Greek sculptor Michael Kontraros. This “deluxe” line is offering a real gem, delivered in a metal box, with artwork, a base, and a tamed dragon on it...

http://www.figone.fr/elf-dragon-prince/

Finally, Antoniooh and Chismah are adding a nice Joker and friendly robots in the Skull Minis line.

http://www.figone.fr/category/skulls/

Concerning the news, three greens are being molded for FIGONE.
We'll let you dream about what they look like by revealing only their names.

The Gladiataur, Bill Tcherno, the Sapo Captain, and Trollus Lunae Bellicus.

An Indigogo campaign is in the works, for a large beast (a very large one), based on artwork by Bertrand Benoit and sculpted by Allan Carrasco.

Finally, the next shipping dates will be on September 18th and 27th, upon my return from the Berlin masterclass.

If you want to know how the packages and envelopes are shipped from Figone... which also explains why I don't head to the post office every day, but every two weeks instead:

Soon...

Good painting to all!

Hello everybody,
Following the last newsletter, after reading some comments on the internet and some suggestions via email, we have decided to make the elf Nathaliel available in a version without banner for €15. The version with banner remains at €25.
How on earth didn’t we think of that ourselves? Well, thanks to you it’s done.
So don’t hesitate to send us your ideas and suggestions. One of the good things about being alone at the wheel is that I only have myself to convince in order to alter course (although it’s not always plain sailing). ;)
So, a few more touches to Trollus and Gladiataure at this weekend’s figostage in Berlin then I can make a start on Captain Sapo ...

I – Give Rocco a banner
II – Gladiataur
III – Misc
Gone are the summer fesitvities which have kept us away from the heart of the cities, we're finally ready to restart our fall danse of releases for the heart, and of links for the head!
I – Give Rocco a banner

You've made the tracker explode overnight, and unlocked the two objectives three days later...
Which means that from now on, all those who pitch in will get, in addition to Rocco, two 32mm miniatures which will be sculpted for the same price: 75 Euros!

That's how it works on Indiegogo. When the objectives are met, presents are offered!

The two models: Toxic Helmut and Carmina will be sculpted by Christian Hardy and Stéphane Camosseto:

http://www.figone.fr/wp-content/gallery/cache/2488__600x799_rocco_step3_perk6.jpg

We can't do anything but thank you and offer a new stretch goal to be unlocked at 8,500 Euros: Rocco's banner.
How far will we get? All bets are in!

In the meantime, here are some WIP shots from Allan's studio:

http://www.figone.fr/wp-content/gallery/rocco_indiegogo/wip-rocco-indiegogo-3.jpg[/img (http://www.figone.fr/wp-content/gallery/rocco_indiegogo/wip-rocco-indiegogo-3.jpg%5b/img)]

II – Gladiataur

And it's not because the Rocco campaign is firing on all cylinders that the "normal" Figone calendar ought to be reduced. Which is why I'm introducing the new arrival in the catalog...
GLADIATAUR!
Sculpted by Allan Carrasco and Christan Hardy

[IMG]http://www.figone.fr/wp-content/gallery/figone_gladiataure/gladiataure_1.jpg

With thanks to Yannick for the wonderful text that comes with it:

III – Misc

Also, I've got a small thing to ask you:
As you can see, we've improved the look of the newsletter. Could you add this e-mail adress, with which I write you, in your contact lists so that the email filters don't wind up sucking what I send out to you?
Thanks

Finally, I'm looking for a webmaster who would have a few hours free, and who knows or would like to learn how to bootstrap simple things on Wordpress. In exchange for the help, I'll be sending a small package of FIGONE models...

Buhbye, looking forward to catching up with you about the fabulous saga of "Rocco on Indiegogo",

JerMs

HAPPYNEWYEAAAAHH to all!

Allan Carrasco gets the spotlight for the post-holidays FIGONE releases!
Here's Capt’N Sapo, an already must-own “Allanesque” model...

This version has been painted by the Marc Masclans, a young Spaniard, whose name you'll see many more times this year.
This model will be the subject of a painting challenge which I'll let you know about soon...

Text by Yannick Degiovanni:

”Captain Sapo leads the Sewerworker Brigade with his palmed hand.
He's torn between the ambient darkness of the tubes and the greasy aroma of the machines which dot the small isolated rooms, like abandoned isles.
The water leaks in the various underground tunnels, the diffuse light of the torches barely piercing the confined air.
Only Team Frog is at ease in this element, like a tadpole in muck.
On this Fall morning, captain Sapo, a wry smile on his lips, gathered his troops for a new fumes-clearing mission in the DesTop-12 zone.
It'll be a gas!
Available, as usual, on the FIGONE store.”

Introducing The Sapo Challenge, featuring the latest bust sculpted by Allan Carrasco for Figone Miniatures.

No sooner had we revealed the WIP pictures of this figure than some painters were already remarking on the creative potential of this bust which just cries out to be painted.

The range of possibilities offered by this magnificent piece should allow us to build an impressive gallery of painted examples and compare the styles and creativity of those turning their brush to the model. We therefore decided to organise a little challenge!

Rules:

• Each participant should send one or two pictured of their painted miniature before midnight CET, 31 marsh 2014 to jbonamant@yahoo.fr

• Each picture will be displayed in the Figone Facebook gallery and the website.

• Conversions are encouraged so don’t be shy

• The entrants will be judged by Allan Carrasco himself

So what’s in it for you?

Well…how about Allan’s next miniature for Figone; that’s to say the rather large miniature ROCCO (you already seen on it on Indiegogo) for the winner?

A number of other prizes will also be awarded depending on the number of participants.
So what are you waiting for?

Verus, small slave of Mesie, son of a slave, was working with his father under a dry and dusty sun. A slave trader spotted the young boy, strong for his age, and paid good money to his master to acquire him. A long journey to Rome the eternal followed.
At the gladiators market in the town square, the trader rubbed his hands: he sold Verus to a lanista for a substantial profit. Verus passes through the gateway of the ludus to starts his new life. He is barely 14 years old.
Two years follow during which he learns to be a gladiator, through training and increasing his body strength. At 16, he survives his first tournament in the arena. The first fight, the most dangerous.
Verus, small slave of Mesie, son of a slave, will build his legend in the circus. At the coliseum, he will earn his freedom.

Hello everybody,

The first piece of news is that STEPHANE CAMOSSETO will be giving a course on sculpting in Lyon, France on 24-25 May. If you don’t know who this maniac is then I suggest you go check out his work and judge for yourself

http://www.puttyandpaint.com/projects/3321

http://www.puttyandpaint.com/projects/3442

It costs only €60 for both days and 10 places are available and there’s the chance of a place to stay overnight for those needing it.
Reservations from jbonamant@yahoo.fr

Next up, Greg F who chose the “Troll” perk in the recent Indiegogo campaign has just finished his private painting lessons chez moi. On the program was ROCCO himself, which means that I got to finish painting the monster too.

Hello everybody!
While awaiting the announcement of the winner of Rocco challenge, here is some Figone news:
For starter a very nice visual of Bill Tcherno:
http://www.jeremiebt.com/TEMPjeremie/bill.jpg (http://www.jeremiebt.com/TEMPjeremie/bill.jpg)
The most observant one will recognize the inspiration taken from Raffaele Picca, who’s interpretation of “King Maulg” few years back was outstanding.
http://www.figone.fr/wp-content/gallery/maulg-de-raffaele-picster-picca/maulg_raffaele_picca-0.jpg (http://www.figone.fr/wp-content/gallery/maulg-de-raffaele-picster-picca/maulg_raffaele_picca-0.jpg)
In case you want to give a stab at drawing, here’s an excellent website I stumbled upon:
https://www.facebook.com/TutoriaisDeDesenho?ref=stream (https://www.facebook.com/TutoriaisDeDesenho?ref=stream)
Due to some parts cracking during the first casting of Carmina, the miniature give-away to Rocco’s buyers, the deliveries will be a bit delayed.
I hope to be able to handle the shipping to all of you by the end of May!
Little musical interlude if your heart is so inclined: a little montage of my duo with Nathalie ESCALE ORDINAIRE (MEdley Lyon 2014) http://youtu.be/uH_ftFRwY50 (http://youtu.be/uH_ftFRwY50)

And to en end this newsletter, I give you a selection of the best Figone pieces I happened to see circulating these past years.

I am almost done with the dossier I am preparing ;)

B’bye

Jérémie

Hello everyone!

We're still filling out the reader's gallery.

I still have a good hundred of models on my computer which need to be
put online, so if yours isn't on the site yet, wait a bit, we'll be
taking care of that gradually until this summer.

Thanks again to Vincent and Arnaud for the time spent working on the
site, and to all the painters who have put such amazing colors on the
models which came out of our laboratory!

May these ideas inspire you as much as they inspire me.

Colored kisses,

JerMs

Hello everyone.
To start, a short link:
An artist uses light to sculpt shadow and create amazing things!

http://dailygeekshow.com/2012/08/18/une-artiste-utilise-la-lumiere-pour-sculpter-lombre-et-realiser-des-creations-fascinantes/

The results of the Sapo Challenge are here, commented by Allan Carrasco himself ;)

"The first place goes to Jean Paul Dana, for the "illustrative: side of his piece, the light, and the wide variety of tints which really work well.

Followed closely by Mirko Cavalonni. A good technique and especially colour choices which I really like! Bravo also for the clear highlights for the eyes and the goggles.

http://www.figone.fr/wp-content/gallery/sapo-de-mirko/sapo-mirko_3.jpg

The third step of the podium goes to Torlarp “Thor” Intararangson, for the finesse of his work, the great care given to each detail of the skin and to the textures in general (the leather, especially).

http://www.figone.fr/wp-content/gallery/sapo-de-torlarp-intararangson/sapo-torlarp-intararangson_2.jpg

I strongly hesitated to put John Keys' version on the podium, but I had to choose... also, special shout out to Antonin Delanoe's Sapo, I love the conversion work, bravo!"

Jean Paul Dana decided to get Rocco, the big beasty which will be available starting next month on the Figone website, and, as agreed, the "first" member of the Wamp forum, meaning Torlarp “Thor” Intararangson, will also get a Rocco.
New challenge coming soon!
Here's to the Figone news brochette of the week,

When will Rocco be shipped to the Indiegogo supporters?
It's pretty strange that it will be aviable in 2 weeks in your shop but, it seems, that it wasn't even shipped to the supporters by now...

I was wondering about that, too. Jeremie kindly answered my emails, and it seems that the difficulty lies with one of the stretch goals which is not yet finished casting.

The third step of the podium goes to Torlarp “Thor” Intararangson, for the finesse of his work, the great care given to each detail of the skin and to the textures in general (the leather, especially).

Hello everyone!

First good news, 150 Rocco have just left the house!
At a speed of 50 more per week, in 3 weeks everything will have been shipped. We've had a slight delay in production due to a piece which broke during casting, which Christian Hardy hurried to repair so as not to keep the future owners of this big beast waiting.
Everyone will get as a gift 3 32mm models offered with Rocco, as all the objectives of the campaign have been met!

http://www.jeremiebt.com/TEMPjeremie/IMG_0825.JPG

All this will be available on the store in a few weeks.

NOTE, I only have 10 copies left of the Great Modeling Book volume 1, 11 volume 2, and 14 volume 3.
Then... OUT OF STOCK!
So hurry if these tomes interest you.

In the meantime, the IMBRIAN ART line is elbowing its way in.
Check out the new releases on the storefront!

Hello everyone!

World Expo is in sight!
This summer, the UNMISSABLE World Expo will take place in Stresa, north of Italy, on July 11th to 13th 2014.
Many of the best miniature painters of the world will be present. Come appreciate the best of what’s been done these past few years, plus all the exclusives that the best of the best keep up their sleeves for this contest.
This takes place every three years, so don’t hesitate, if there’s only one convention to attend, it’s that one!
All the info on the event’s site.
http://www.we2014stresa.com/en
For the occasion, FIGONE rolls out the red carpet – see for yourself!

Offers for only the weekend with TWO NEW RELEASES!!!! The next model by Allan is called “Kahar”. After Aahl and Haan, will you be able to guess the name of the fourth? ;)
A super schedule of painting and sculpting by some great artists, as you can see:
And previews of releases for the next year!

Hello guys,
Just a small post to keep you informed on Figopedia's campaign.
We've just unlocked the first stretch goal and the second one is pretty close!
https://images.indiegogo.com/file_attachments/898059/files/20141002011532-SG1_UNLOCKED.jpg (http://igg.me/at/figopedia-1)
The next one will give us more work: 8 more pages!
But the real objective will be to reach the third stretch goal for a new mini!
